Industry Veteran Teaches The Foundations of HALT/HASS October 14th

Elite Expert, Harry Schwab, will share his knowledge with a small group of 16 professionals. Participants will walk away with a deep understanding of IEST’s popular Best Practice Document PR003.1

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (August 28, 2015) – IEST, an ANSI-credentialed and world leading standards development organization, is bringing author and industry veteran Harry Schwab to their Training Center near O’Hare Airport to share his knowledge on HALT/HASS implementation.

IEST considers Mr. Schwab an elite expert because of his contributions to standards development, and his work as a technical author.

In addition to receiving CEUs, professionals who travel to attend How to Conduct Effective HALT/HASS will learn about repetitive shock tables, electrodynamic shakers, thermal chambers, fixturing, vibration environments, performing and implementing HALT, and developing and running HASS. They will also gain valuable insight as Mr. Schwab discusses the lessons he has learned while working as an engineer for more than 40 years.

Course attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of IEST-RP-PR003.1: HALT/HASS. This Recommended Practice contains information on the philosophy behind the testing, generic examples of tests, the differences between standard testing equipment and equipment used for highly accelerated testing, fixturing considerations, alternative approaches, additional environments, and lessons learned.
